ISAIAH 38.16

O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.

Bad thing number #2

A couple weeks ago I went to Destin to see The Pirates of the Caribbean "The Dead Mans Chest" with our church youth group. I had Julie and Holly with me and we where going to eat before the movie. I wasn't sure where the restaurant was and we drove right by it. So I needed to turn around, sounds simple right? Well not when you are in Destin in a huge truck that cannot make a turn unless you have a ton of room. I saw an empty parking lot with plenty of room in it, and I followed a truck into the trap. It was a storage unit area with a gate that I did not see. The truck I had followed punched the numbers and opened the gate that I did not see and I followed them into the area. I began to turn around when Holly said "wouldn't it be funny if that gate over there closed with us in here?" When I looked to see what gate, I saw to my horror a big iron gate closing slowly. We where trapped and the only way to get out was to find the truck that I followed and ask them for the number. They laughed and gave me the number. I was very embarrassed. Well at least I no not to turn around in storage area's any more.

Bad things

The past two weeks have been crazy. Just about every day something bad has happened to me or my friends.
Bad thing #1
Last week I went to the bank to cash some checks and I was in a hurry so I decided to take a chance and park in a cramped area. There was no way I was going to fit in that space in the f250 I was driving but I tried anyway. I whipped in the space and heard a screech. I looked and in my horror I saw that I had hit a car. A very intense man helped me get off the car and told me to park in the back where I should have parked in the first place. I was hoping that a nice lady would come out and be understanding, but that was not the case. A big woman with a mean face stomped out of the bank and headed my way. I nervously asked if it was her car and she answered "Yes that is my car!" That was when I started to cry. She told me to call the police and told me that that car was the first new car she had ever had and now it had a scratch on it. The scratch really wasn't that bad. I will be way more careful when parking the truck from now on.I will post on bad thing #2 later.

4th of July

I had a wonderful 4th of July! On Tuesday morning I went with my family to the beach. After that I spent the afternoon and evening with the Stanton family at their Papa's house. The afternoon was filled with excitement. Holly was driving one of her uncle's jet skies and hit a cement column under a bridge and was rushed to the emergency room. She is fine, but she has some cuts and bruises that may take a while to heal. That was scary. I am badly sunburned and my face is blistering and peeling, making it hard for me to talk. But I guess I will survive. The fireworks on the bay where great and the fellowship was good.
Thanks to the Stantons for including me in their festivities!
